At Invisible Disabilities Australia we passionately believe that all people, including those with a non-visible disability, have the right to equal access, inclusion and dignity and to live full and active lives. To this end, we have developed our Invisible Disabilities Access Card and Lanyard so you can communicate your needs and as evidence that you may need assistance or access to modified disabled facilities and to explain the assistance you may need with ease and dignity.
With our new Invisible Disabilities Access Card and easily recognisable Lanyard, people with an Invisible disabilities will no longer need to face the often-burdensome task of having to communicate the nature of their disability unless they choose to. Instead, they are free to choose to wear their card and lanyard or keep it out of sight and show only as required. We believe there should be no need to tell others about your condition, which is why we include the term No Need to Explain needs on the card.
Invisible Disabilities Australia is working to increase awareness and recognition of the needs of millions of Australians through the use of our photo identity access cards and distinct lanyard designed to assist people with a range of invisible disabilities.
